Overview

• Departments have effective date fields.

• If effective dates are defined, then the home page will filter out departments whose effective dates do not encompass the viewing term dates.

• While a department can have an effective date field, Coursedog only stores one version of the department in the system. For institutions that have effective dating built into their SIS, when loading SIS data into Coursedog, only a single effective-dated version of the department can exist in Coursedog at a given time.
