A section is worth a set number of credits.

In Banner when you create a meeting, you specify how much of the section’s credits the meeting is worth in the meeting level “session credit” field.

The “sum of session credits” is the total number of credits for all meeting level sessions.

The sum of all meeting level session credits cannot exceed the total credits for the section (“4” in the below screenshot).
Allowed
The below scenario is OK because the section is worth 4 credits and this session is worth 0.
Not Allowed
The below scenario is NOT OK because the sum of two sessions is 8, which exceeds the section’s 4 credits.
