Question
Viewing Field-Level Integration Information in Scheduling & Curriculum
Answer

Overview

  • Some Academic Scheduling and Curriculum Management templates and records allow you to view field integration information.

  • Provided information helps you understand how a field interacts with your SIS.

  • In Academic Scheduling, you can view that information in the Section Template and in the Section Editing Modal for an individual section.

  • In Curriculum Management, you can view that information in the Course and Program Template as well as within individual Course and Program records.

Available Integration Information

Integration Type

  • “Integration Type” indicates whether we can POST the field to your SIS; GET the field from your SIS; or both.

  • This information is based on what your integration can support.

SIS Mapped Field

  • “SIS Mapped Field” shows where data for this field is stored or modified in your SIS.

  • This information is shown to help you trace how the field connects to backend data.

Resolution Strategy

  • “Resolution Strategy” defines the system of truth for this field (e.g. Is this field set to “Resolve as Coursedog” or “Resolve as SIS”).

  • This is dynamically pulled from your institution’s field settings in Coursedog that your implementation team set up for you.

  • That means that this information could change if a merge setting is changed for a particular field.
